Textile Engineer

Orkide Tekstil — Our factory in Bursa, Türkiye produces scarves, stoles, shawls and bandanas with 26+ years of experience. Across silk, modal, viscose, wool and blends, every link from design to dispatch sits under one roof.

We're looking for a Textile Engineer to lead our production line technically. From raw material to sample, from print processes to final production — every link is yours to manage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee raw material (yarn, fabric) selection, supplier evaluation and technical approvals
• Coordinate sampling and prototyping (48-hour sample turnaround)
• Track quality and waste rates in printing (rotary, digital, transfer); propose improvements
• Run root-cause analysis for production issues and recommend solutions
• Interpret supplier lab test results (fastness, shrinkage, strength)
• Research new fabric structures and print techniques in R&D projects

• Bachelor's in Textile Engineering (master's a plus)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a textile manufacturing environment
• Technical knowledge of weaving / knitting structures, printing (rotary, digital, transfer) and finishing
• Familiarity with quality control standards and lab testing
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD or CAD / pattern software
• Intermediate–advanced English (technical documentation, supplier correspondence)
• Class B driving licence, active driver
• Male candidates must have completed military service
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Resident in Bursa or willing to relocate
